Toronto existing home sales fall 12.5% in August

Real estate sales in the Greater Toronto Area fell almost 12.5 per cent in August, compared to a year ago, while the number of new listings fell 5.5 per cent. There were 6,418 sales of existing homes through the MLS system last month, compared to 7,330 in August of 2011, the Toronto Real Estate Board said Thursday.
